Hope rises for Kangaroo Island’s green carpenter bees

The search for the green carpenter bee has taken a positive turn with the discovery of 28 bees in hibernation nests. South Australian Museum Researcher Remko Leijs, who has been studying green carpenter bees since 1996, said that he was “happily surprised” by the number of bees discovered, as the team did not have high expectations.
