In May we will once again celebrate World Bee day. The purpose of World Bee day is to raise awareness of the essential role bees and other pollinators play in keeping people and the planet healthy. It provides an opportunity for governments, organizations, civil society and concerned citizens everywhere to promote actions that will: • Protect and enhance pollinators and their habitats • Improve their abundance and diversity • Support the sustainable development of beekeeping. Last year, in the grips of Covid19 related restrictions, we held the Global online waggle dance, which was a great success. This year, as restrictions have mostly lifted, we are hoping to once again celebrate World Bee Day with both live events and online events.
All events can be registered on the World Bee Day website.
