The 2025 Impact Report showcases the important role each of the Foundation’s programs and projects plays in delivering meaningful outcomes for Australia’s bees.
Wheen Bee Foundation CEO Fiona Chambers said the report captures the breadth of the Foundation’s work and the many ways people can support bees in Australia.
Highlights from 2025 include upgrading the Foundation’s world-class Research Apiary, supporting 20 community groups across Australia to plant more than 2,000 pollinator-friendly trees and shrubs through the latest round of Community Tree Grants, and securing funding for the Online Pollinator Stewardship Program to expand access to practical pollinator knowledge.
“Here at the Foundation, we are pleased to share the 2025 Impact Report and celebrate the progress being made to support bees and pollination across Australia,” Ms Chambers said.
“Protecting pollinators takes many different approaches, and our programs bring together research, industry and communities to help support bees across the country.”
The 2025 Impact Report introduces the Foundation’s Theory of Change, which explains the intent of the Foundation and how the programs independently and collectively work to strengthen pollination systems across Australia.
“While our programs engage diverse audiences and address different challenges, they are united by a shared goal,” Ms Chambers said.
The Theory of Change outlines a long-term approach to supporting honey bees, native bees and pollinator landscapes by creating a safe and constructive space for researchers, beekeepers, farmers, conservationists and community members to come together around the shared purpose of securing pollinating species for agriculture and the environment.
“We understand that different pollinator species face different pressures and the solutions are rarely simple or identical,” Ms Chambers said.
“However, actions such as increasing floral resources, restoring habitat and advocating for safe and sustainable land management practices across Australia help support all pollinators more broadly.”
