School Pollinator Art Competition

The School Pollinator Art Competition invites students across Australia to celebrate pollinators through art.

Students can submit original artworks in any medium, including drawing, painting, digital, collage or mixed media. Prizes will be awarded for the best artwork inspired by pollinators.

All entries will be judged by the Wheen Bee Foundation.

The competition is proudly sponsored by the Centre for Bee Education.

The School Pollinator Art Competition runs alongside the popular Pollinator Photography Competition and provides an accessible way for school-aged students to learn about pollinators. Find out more about the Pollinator Photography Competition here.

    Competition Terms & Conditions

    1. The competition is run by the Wheen Bee Foundation (ABN 84 139 073 082), 96 Harbours Rd, Yendon, Victoria 3352, Australia.
    2. Employees, contractors and immediate family members of the Wheen Bee Foundation are not eligible to enter.
    3. The competition is open to students who are currently enrolled in a school or home education program in Australia.
    4. Entries must be original artworks created by the student and must relate to the theme of pollinators.
    5. Artworks can be submitted in any medium, including drawing, painting, digital, collage or mixed media.
    6. Submissions must be made via the official competition portal. Artworks should be scanned, linked to (if hosted online) or captured in a clear, well-lit photograph.
    7. By submitting an entry, the student (and their parent or guardian if under 18) grants the Wheen Bee Foundation permission to use, reproduce and publish the artwork for promotional, educational or publicity purposes, including via print and digital channels.
    8. Entrants retain copyright of their artwork and will be credited where reasonably possible when their work is used.
    9. To be eligible to win, students must be residents of Australia. Prizes will only be sent to Australian addresses.
    10. The winning entry will be selected by the Wheen Bee Foundation, and the judges’ decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
    11. This is a skills-based competition, not a game of chance.
    12. The prizes are not redeemable for cash and is non-transferable.
    13. The $500 voucher to The Centre for Bee Education prize awarded will be directed to the winning student’s teacher, class or school, not to the student individually. 
    14. Entries must be received by the stated closing date and late entries will not be considered.
